Monday 2.2.79


Daily Lottery: 966 Work went well today.

Stu brought quite a few

Set of brick back from Falls Creek

So that kept me busy.


In the afternoon I went to work in Chucks car Then bought a new coil at Grays

On the way home for lunch.


After work I put car in lab and changed coils.

Good thing

As I was out of oil also.


Built fire in wood burner

And kept it going until 10:30 p.m. I probably burned most of the night.

Near 0 degrees. So I maybe saved a few bucks

With the stove.

Cookie, Daryl & Matt were in

For the evening.

Cookie went to ceramics.

Went to work

Only to find

Everyone with their coats on. Out of oil again in the lab. Filled tank about 9:30 a.m.

So we started working.


Chris needed his Jeep jumped

At lunch time So I did that for him. Stopped and bought a hoagie For Perry at Nichols Street Market. Got one for myself.

Watched T.V. in evening

And went to bed.

Snowed all day today

And we had quite an accumulation

Of about 7 inches.


Stayed at work at lunch time

As Chris went and picked up hoagies

At Nichols Street Market P.P. left to go home

About 4 p.m. When I got home I had a bill in the mail

From Blooms insurance

Which said I owed $66.70

On my auto ins.


I called and fought with

The office girls

For about 45 minutes. Later, I wrote Mr. Hite a letter

And will wait till I hear from him

Before doing anything else. All in all

Not a good day.

Was snowing

When I left home this morning.

Stopped at post office

And mailed letter

To Mr. Hite.


Went to work.

Was in process of parking

When Bud Broad cut me off

And nearly hit me while parking.


Day was pretty good

As far as work goes. Life Ins. Lady

Pushed up premiums.


In evening Mildred called

So I must take her

To market after 7 p.m.


Took sis to market.

Everything went ok.


Burned wood burner

And went to bed

Started to work

And the car was giving off

A bad odor

So I stopped

In front of Heichels

But could find nothing.


Car stalled

At Nichols Street light

But started again.


Stopped in front of library

And I had to be towed

To Auto Mart.


Called for Perry

And he picked me up

In front of court house.


Morgan took me to lunch.

He bought at Town Tavern.


Called A.F. (sic)

And received loan for $218

So I could get car

Out of garage.


Paid Penn and Auto Mart

And bought groceries.


Had fire in wood stove

And went to bed.

Have a real bad cold.


Car not fixed

As they only repaired bendix.

$46 for a half hour job.

Worked on the venting

For the new dryer

And got it all hooked up

The way I wanted it.


Morgan came in in the afternoon

And stayed for a while.


I drank quite a bit of beer today

And wasn't feeling to good

By evening.


Was watching T.V.

When Lou Harper came in

To borrow my metal detector

As he had lost his wedding ring

After falling over a bank

On the way home

From State College.


He told me his wife

Is expecting this July.


Watched some more T.V.

And went to bed.

Found out this morning

That Shawn had had

2 bad dreams

And went across the street

To Rinks in his sleep

And wound up calling the police.


He thought the house

Was on fire.


Worked leveling the washer

With help from Morgan

As his family came down

And stayed all afternoon.


Lou brought my metal detector back

In the evening

But he said he did not

Find the ring. John came down

In the evening

And we traded cars

While he does some work

On mine. Darb & Shirley were in

For a few hours also.


Right after they left

A cardboard box in basement

Caught fire.

Good thing I smelled it.
