Monday 1.15.79


Daily Lottery: 672 Transmission on '72 Hornet was froze

As I could not get it out of park. Battery cable broken

So could not go to work on time. Took bus over town

And bought new cables at Gray's

Then bought 2 new End wrench at Sears.


Came back on 10 o'clock bus.

Got car started

And went to work at noon. Took lunch to lab from McDonald's. Nut & Bolt cabinet

Came from Whitney's.

Put it together in p.m. Daryl was in for a while. Been having a few chest pains

But nothing serious. Head sure is buzzing. Shirley stopped for a few minutes.

She sure is a mess.

Tuesday 1.16.79 Daily Lottery: 623 This was a very good day at work.

Stu & Perry went drilling

In the afternoon.


They drilled W-15 4

The stripping above are house. I paid Dana's paper bill at lunch time

And also the water bill. Auto Ins messed up by state auto.

Have to take cancelled check

Into Bloom's to get it straightened out. Stopped on way home

And bought new lottery ticket

But won't know until Jan 25

If I won anything.


All in all

This was a good day.

Daily Lottery: 050 Very good day at work today.

Perry and I processed drill hole

8, 9, 10, of W15

And drill hole 1,2 Donahue (Carns).


Went in to Bloom's

To get ins straightened up.

Doubt if I did.


Snowed very hard in a.m.

But had no problem getting around.

Ate lunch with Perry at lab.

Steak hoagies

From Nichols Street Market. Good day health-wise. Hope to win in one or both

Later this evening.

Sure would be nice.

Another good day at work & at home. Took sis to market this evening.

Shoveled her walk

Before coming on home.


Used the wood burner in evening

Not much work to do

In the lab today

But day went quite well.


Worked on income tax

In evening. Looks like we will pay

About $300 this year. Must get some deduction

Taken off for next year.


Don't feel too good today.

But week has been

A good one health wise.


I hope we all keep healthy

For a while

At least until I get caught up

With the house bills.

Daily Lottery: 333

Started the day

With an argument with Shawn

Over comic books & records.


Then Dana had to open her mouth

And she got it to. Shawn went to work

And I went over town

And exchanged Chas clock radio

At Sears. Bought stain for bathroom door

And bought lottery tickets for week.

Also bought myself

A new wallet.


Started wood burner

Then went back over town

And bought carpet runner

For laundry room.


Got a case of beer.

Came home and laid runner. Kept wood burner going

'Till about 9 p.m.

Watched T.V. and went to bed. Mary was called out to work.

Everything was coated

With ice this morning.


After breakfast I started chipping ice

Off are side walk

And then did Vera's also.


Took me about 3 hrs.


Ate a very good dinner

Then laid down on couch

And watched some of the

Pregame show.


Then watched Super-Bowl 13.

A very good game.

Steelers won

35 to Dallas 31.


I missed winning the football pool

At work

By one point.

It was won by Dan Meyers.


Cookie, Daryl and Matthew

Were in after ball game

And stayed 'till 12:30 p.m.


I got tired and went to bed.
