Good day at work today. Chris and I had discussion over odds. Leitzinger's del carpet for laundry room. Called Shirley at lunch time

To see how Jim was doing.

Evening Shirley called and said

Jim was discharged.


Doubt if that was

The smartest thing to do.

We'll see later.


Bob Enoch came in today

Driving a leased Ford. I was asked to bring it inside

And fix wipers & squirters.

And did with help of others.

People came today and

Laid carpet in laundry and bathroom area.

Paul P. told me I would receive

35 cents an hour raise for the year.


I told him I would not stay

For that kind of money

And I damn well mean it.


Today was the third day in a row

That I missed the daily lottery

By one digit.


Tomorrow I intend to win.


Jim Davis was hit on the head today

With a piece of metal

And required stitches.

Had trouble starting the car

This morning

Mary had appointment for eye exam

And she drove up with me

To bring the car back

For her own use. I called Dave

And made appointment for car

Sure does get on my nerves.

Used wood burner tonight.


Shirley was over for a while.


Took Mildred to market.

Bought new pair of boots at Robb's.


Paid balance on new carpet.


Went up to Morgan's about 10 a.m.

And helped him insulate

Some of his bedrooms.

Bought ice chopper at Herb & Tom's

And chopped ice off the sidewalk.


Thelma Jean Diel came down

In the evening

And we talked about an hour (was nice).


Mary was called to work

And stayed for a second case.


Temp went back down to zero

During the night.


John and Snookie were down with the kids

And got his hair cut.

They stayed for dinner

And had a good time with kids.


Felt pretty good today.
